CHORAL MUSIC
'In Heavenly Love Abiding' is a bright and uplifting SATB setting of the familiar words of the old hymn, and can be readily tackled by any choir. As with all our music, the melody and harmonies are rich and rewarding and there is a big piano accompaniment.
'Sweet and Low' is unaccompanied in six parts (SSATBB) and employs more complex harmonies. It is a setting of the familiar poem by Tennyson and was originally one of a set of four songs about the sea, written for the King's Singers.
In these days of contemporary Christian worship, there is a danger that many fine old hymns will fall out of use. We have responded to this situation in two ways:
Firstly, we are offering some brand new tunes to the words of old and familiar hymns.
Secondly, we have some rousing alternative harmonizations to well-loved hymn tunes - the sort that gives the last verse a real lift!
